Religious Attaché at Saudi Embassy in Indonesia: Makkah Route Initiative Widely Welcomed among Indonesian Community

Jakarta, Religious Attaché at the Saudi Embassy in Indonesia Ahmed bin Isa Al-Hazmi stressed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, since its establishment, and its leaders have dedicated themselves to serving Islam and Muslims and caring for visitors of the Holy Kaaba and the Prophet’s Mosque.

In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency, Al-Hazmi said: “The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has amazed the entire world with its advanced services. I do not say keeping pace, but rather surpassing the entire world in its development. Among these services is the Makkah Route Initiative launched by the Ministry of Interior as part of the Pilgrim Experience Program of the Saudi Vision 2030.”

He noted that the initiative has been widely accepted among the Indonesian community at both official and popular levels. The initiative’s facilitation has brought joy and happiness to pilgrims, thanks to the dedicated officials who warmly welcome beneficiaries of the initiative.

Al-Hazmi explained that the Makkah Route Initiative aims to pro
vide high-quality services to pilgrims by completing their procedures from their home countries, starting with the electronic issuance of Hajj visas and collecting biometric data, followed by completing passport procedures at the departure airport after verifying health requirements, as well as sorting and transporting luggage to the accommodation prepared for pilgrims in the Kingdom.

The attaché prayed that Allah Almighty would reward the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for their services to pilgrims. He also expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the entities participating in the success of the Makkah Route Initiative.
