RHF participates in the first board meeting of Al Quds Fund and Endowment

His Royal Highness Prince Turki Al-Faisal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Al Quds Fund and Endowment praised the efforts of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa in supporting Palestinians in various humanitarian conditions.

HRH Prince Turki also commended the various humanitarian projects offered by Bahrain’s leadership and people to support Palestinians.

This came during the first meeting of the Al Quds Fund and Endowment held in Jeddah and chaired by HRH Prince Turki.

Dr. Mustafa Al Sayed, Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF) Secretary-General participated as a member of the Board of Trustees, nominated by His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM the King’s Personal Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs.

Al Sayed conveyed the greetings of HM King Hamad, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and HH Shaikh Nasser to the Chairman and members of the Board of Trustees and their best wishes for the Al Quds Fund and Endowment of success in achieving its humanitarian goals to empower Palestinians in Al Quds.

He expressed his honour to be a member of the Al Quds Fund and Endowment and to work under the leadership of HRH Prince Turki to support the Palestinian brethren in light of the difficult circumstances that Al Quds is going through.

Al Sayed showcased Bahrain’s projects aimed at easing the circumstances of Palestinians, under the directives of HM the King, with the follow-up of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and support of HH Shaikh Nasser.

Al-Sayed highlighted Bahrain’s efforts to empower individuals and institutions through Bahrain’s labour fund, Tamkeen, to support sustainable development, accelerate economic growth, motivate and support youth, and develop competencies for local and international competitiveness.

The board praised Bahrain’s experience in empowering individuals and institutions and stressed the keenness to benefit from this experience in the fund’s work and empowering the Palestinians in Al Quds.

Dr. Imad Abu Kishk, Al Quds University Dean praised Bahrain for building the first public library in Al Quds.

The meeting reviewed the Al Quds Empowerment and Sustainability Programme 2023-2027, approved projects, and the resources development plan for 2023-2024.

The Board of Trustees for Al-Quds Fund collaborates with development organizations, chambers of commerce, and businessmen, fostering partnerships between civil society and governments for charitable resource development.

Bahrain supported Palestinians by building schools, health centres, libraries, and a factory for artificial limbs in Gaza Strip and Al Quds.
