Royal Institute of Traditional Arts signs MOU with Korea National University of Cultural Heritage

The Royal Institute of Traditional Arts signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Korea National University of Cultural Heritage to enhance cooperation between the two parties in traditional arts, characteristics of cultural heritage, and traditional intangible arts and crafts. The MOU was signed in the presence of the Acting Director General of the Institute, Dr. Susan Al-Yahya, and the Dean of the University, Dr. Kang Kyung Hwan.

The areas of cooperation between the two sides prevailed through the development of academic programs and short courses in the sciences of heritage preservation and the characteristics of cultural heritage, sharing their research on cultural heritage, and examining the possibility of exchanging visiting craftsmen, by encouraging the formation of a working group to promote joint projects in traditional arts and cultural heritage, in addition to organizing training programs, workshops, capacity development programs and seminars for those interested in traditional arts.

The Royal Institute of Traditional Arts seeks to highlight the national identity by enriching and promoting traditional arts. It is also tasked with raising, disseminating, and introducing the culture of traditional arts in the Kingdom, locally and internationally, and supporting efforts aimed at preserving them, in addition to encouraging and training talents in the fields of traditional arts and providing relevant educational programs.
