Cairo: Chief Executive Officer of the National Center for Meteorology Dr. Ayman bin Salem Ghulam led the Saudi delegation at the 39th session of the Arab Permanent Committee for Meteorology, held on Tuesday at the Arab League headquarters in Cairo, with the participation of representatives from member states.
According to Saudi Press Agency, in his address, Dr. Ghulam stressed the importance of empowering the committee as a coordination platform among member states to unify perspectives and enhance joint efforts in addressing climate challenges.
He noted that Saudi Arabia, through its chairmanship, seeks to boost technical cooperation, exchange expertise, and build national capacities in line with rapid developments in meteorology and climate-contributing to the protection of lives and property and supporting sustainable development efforts across the Arab world.
