Doha: A Saudi National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA) delegation led by NCA Governor Eng. Majid Al-Mazyad attended today the 3rd meeting of the GCC Cybersecurity Ministerial Committee in Doha, Qatar. The meeting gathered leaders of cybersecurity authorities from GCC member states alongside GCC Secretary-General Jassim Albudaiwi.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the Ministerial Committee adopted the Gulf strategy for cybersecurity and approved the launch of the “cyber threat information sharing platform in GCC countries.” This project is spearheaded by the Saudi Information Technology Company and the Global Cybersecurity Forum Institute. The discussions also encompassed a range of initiatives proposed by GCC countries, aiming to enhance cybersecurity cooperation across the Gulf region. Key initiatives include joint cyber exercises by GCC member states to improve cyber readiness and promote the exchange of expertise and best practices.
