Saudi Arabia Hosts 6th Preparatory Meeting of Arab Experts Committee on Intangible Cultural Heritage

Riyadh, The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia hosted virtually today the 6th preparatory meeting of the Arab Experts Committee on Intangible Cultural Heritage, organized by the the Heritage Commission, an affiliate of the Ministry of Culture, aiming to strengthen joint Arab efforts in the field of intangible cultural heritage.

The meeting was attended by members of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization "UNESCO", namely: the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the State of Kuwait and the Kingdom of Morocco, in addition to representatives of Arab countries that have submitted files for registration on the list.

The meeting of the Arab Experts Committee on Intangible Cultural Heritage comes in preparation for the Arab participation in the 16th annual meeting of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage, to be held at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris from Dec. 13-18, 2021.
