Kuching: The Saudi Taekwondo team is set to compete in the 13th Asian Junior and 6th Asian Youth Championships, which will be held from July 24 to August 2, 2025, in Kuching, Malaysia. The event is expected to gather over 650 male and female athletes from various countries across Asia.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Saudi Arabia will be represented by 50 male and female athletes, competing under the Green Taekwondo team banner. Khaled Al-Shamrani, Chairman of the National Teams Committee at the Saudi Taekwondo Federation, has expressed confidence in the athletes' potential to achieve commendable results. He highlighted the high levels of discipline and enthusiasm observed during the preparatory training camp.
The Asian Junior and Youth Championships are recognized as some of the most prestigious continental events in taekwondo. Saudi Arabia's participation aligns with its broader strategy to boost its technical presence at the youth level and solidify its position in the Asian taekwondo landscape.
