Saudi Delegation to Visit India to Enhance Cooperation in Industry, Mining

New Delhi: A delegation from the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources and the Local Content and Government Procurement Authority, led by Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef, is set to embark on an official visit to India from February 3 to 6. The visit aims to boost ties, attract high-value investments to Saudi Arabia, and explore joint investment opportunities in the industry and mining sectors. The delegation is scheduled to visit New Delhi and Mumbai, India’s leading commercial hub. This visit aligns with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 to diversify the economy and position Saudi Arabia as a leading industrial powerhouse and a global center for mining and minerals.



According to Saudi Press Agency, the delegation will hold high-level strategic meetings with senior Indian government officials from various ministries and engage with global industry leaders in mining, pharmaceuticals, automotive, petrochemicals, chemicals, and other strategic industrial sectors. The visit will also include the signing of agreements and memoranda of understanding to foster effective partnerships in the industry and mining sectors.



Key meetings in New Delhi will include discussions with ministries such as the Ministry of Coal, the Ministry of Mines, the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, the Ministry of Steel, the Ministry of Heavy Industries, and the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. The delegation will also visit the National Institution for Transforming India (NITI Aayog) for discussions on public policy.



During the New Delhi visit, the delegation will participate in a roundtable meeting with leaders of India’s top private-sector industry and mining companies. Additionally, they will hold meetings with executives from Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited, Uno Minda for automotive components, Vedanta Group, and Sanmar Group.



In Mumbai, the delegation’s agenda includes a roundtable meeting with major companies in the mining, automotive, pharmaceutical, and petrochemical industries, as well as meetings and field visits to leading Indian firms such as UPL India for chemicals, Tata Electronics, Aditya Birla Group for mining, and other globally recognized companies in the industry and mining sectors.
