Riyadh– The Saudi Media Forum 2, which concluded on Tuesday, was a resounding success, drawing over 10,000 visitors to its panel discussions and workshops.

Over the course of 60 sessions and workshops, the forum explored more than 100 papers, delving into specialized aspects of the media industry and the development of media content. Local and international specialists and experts enriched the sessions with their thoughts, expertise, and experience in the media field.

The forum produced proposals and recommendations aimed at developing media content and finding solutions to problems in the industry. This year’s forum focused on the impact of accelerating developments and events worldwide about the future of media, with “Media in a Changing World” as its theme.

Chairman of the Saudi Media Forum and President of the Saudi Broadcasting Authority (SBA), Mohammed bin Fahd Al-Harthi, expressed appreciation for the participants and sponsors who contributed to the event’s success. He congratulated the winners of the forum awards. He noted that the forum constituted a media and cultural platform for dialogue, discussions, and expressing opinions on the sector, which is witnessing an accelerating development.

Al-Harthi also added: “The forum included the signing of agreements aiming at the development of media content and supporting media professionals, in a way that ensures continuity of work in the media sector and takes advantage of modern developments and technologies, which contribute to the quality of content.”

The forum also launched an initiative, the first of its kind, to qualify Saudi news anchors with the participation of media organizations such as SBA, the MBC Media Group, the Rotana Channel Network, the Al Arabiya Channel, and the Saudi News Agency (SPA). The event witnessed a significant presence and broad interaction from both males and females.

The Saudi Media Forum organized a tour for its guests to participate in events marking Founding Day. This included visiting several tourist sites in Riyadh and attending activities held on the occasion.

The forum seeks to be a periodic event that brings together media leaders, intellectuals, culture leaders, experts, and professionals in a single platform to exchange ideas and visions, engage in fruitful dialogues, and learn about the developments in the sector. It also focuses on topics related to contemporary media in light of global changes that necessitate a more significant role for media in facing challenges and suggesting solutions that can positively affect the future of media.
