Riyadh: The Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA) has released a comprehensive set of guidelines designed to clarify the essential stages and detailed steps involved in assessing the risks related to the transfer of personal data. These guidelines aim to identify key concepts and measures necessary for evaluating potential negative impacts and risks associated with the processing of personal data.
According to Saudi Press Agency, SDAIA has also developed a tool to support the assessment of risks when transferring personal data beyond the Kingdom. This tool is accessible to registrants on the National Data Governance Platform and is part of the authority’s national efforts to ensure compliance with the Personal Data Protection Law.
This initiative underscores SDAIA’s dedication to maintaining high standards of personal data protection and fostering trust in digital transactions, aligning with the goals of Vision 2030. The guidelines contribute to ongoing efforts to build a data-driven economy that leverages artificial intelligence.
