Second Common Ground Event in Riyadh to Spotlight Rich Iraqi Culture in December.

Riyadh: The Ministry of Culture is set to host the second edition of the Common Ground exhibition in Riyadh from December 18 to 31 at Mega Studios in Riyadh, highlighting the rich tapestry of Iraqi culture. This event takes visitors on a journey through diverse world cultures, shedding light on the similarities and distinctions they have with Saudi culture. In this edition, the spotlight will focus on Iraqi culture and its ties to Saudi culture in a creative format.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the upcoming exhibition offers a rich journey blending sensory, visual, and auditory experiences in an engaging environment that invites visitors to celebrate the rich tapestries of both the Kingdom and Iraq across four distinct sections. Commencing with an art exhibition that encapsulates the shared traits of Saudi and Iraqi cultures, visitors are treated to a remarkable voyage through time, spotlighting significant historical milestones supported by reliable research.

It features masterpieces by modern artists
from both nations, spanning diverse cultural domains embodying elegance, diversity, and creativity within a harmonious setting. The festival also includes an Al-Mudhif section, showcasing traditional Iraqi reed buildings with roots tracing back to the Sumerian civilization.

Moreover, the event incorporates the Mutanabbi Street segment, encapsulating the cultural essence epitomized by the poet Abu Al-?ayyib Al-Mutanabbi in Baghdad, portraying authentic literary and cultural vibes through book-filled stores. Lastly, the Darb Al-Wasl section presents an array of Saudi and Iraqi cultural facets, enriching visitors’ experiences by acquainting them with the essence of both cultures through a lively and imaginative children’s area tailored to the target audience.
