The Sekaya Charitable Foundation has signed agreements with 14 charities to implement developmental projects focused on securing access to water in the Makkah region. The projects, valued at nearly SAR4 million, will be supported by the General Authority for Awqaf.

The projects will see the construction of 440 new water tanks and the operation of nine water tankers in 13 centers across the Makkah region, to serve rural areas and remote locations.

They will be carried out under the supervision and with the support of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, and the National Center for Non-profit Sector.

Sekaya plays an important role in managing and expanding water-supply programs throughout Saudi Arabia. It aims to enhance efficiency, expand impact, and promote collaboration among communities and stakeholders engaged in water supply, for sustainable development and positive social change.
