SFD Funds Contraction of School in Osh, Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, In the presence of the Saudi Ambassador to the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, Ibrahim bin Radi Al-Radi, a school was opened yesterday in the Kyrgyz province of Osh, as part of a project to construct public schools, funded by the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD), amounting to SR 112.5 million, in cooperation with the Kyrgyz government, in the presence of the representative of the President of Kyrgyzstan, Mayor of Osh Province, a number of officials, journalists, and a group of parents and students.

The officials praised the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s role in supporting the Kyrgyz Republic and helping it improve the country’s infrastructure, expressing their happiness with the opening of this school, which will be an addition to education in Kyrgyzstan in general, as the Kyrgyzstan faces a shortage in the number of schools compared to the number of students.

It is noteworthy that the Kingdom has provided many different aids to the Kyrgyzstan, such as education, health, road, and water services.
