SRCA: More Than 120,000 Volunteer Hours in Q1 2025 in Makkah Region

Makkah: The Saudi Red Crescent Authority (SRCA) reported that 12,233 volunteers, including 7,208 males and 5,025 females, participated in the Makkah Region during the first quarter (Q1) of 2025, contributing a total of 123,732 volunteer hours across 864 opportunities. These included emergency medical services at the Grand Mosque, as well as social, sports, and health-related activities, in addition to participation in national events, international days, exhibitions, and first aid training.



According to Saudi Press Agency, the SRCA revealed that Makkah recorded the highest number of volunteer initiatives with 443 opportunities, followed by Jeddah with 354 and Taif with 67. The volunteer medical staff included professionals from various specialties, such as medical consultants, general practitioners, and emergency medical personnel.



The Red Crescent Authority affirmed its commitment to engaging volunteers in Makkah and leveraging their efforts through the SRCA’s volunteer platform.
