The Syrian National Seismological Center announced, today, Sunday, that 17 earthquakes of varying degrees had been recorded during the past twenty-four hours.
The center stated, in a statement reported by the Syrian News Agency (SANA), today, that the stations of the National Seismic Monitoring Network recorded, until this morning, 9 tremors in Iskenderun, with intensities ranging between 1.6 and 2.4 on the Richter scale, and 6 tremors in Turkey, with intensities ranging between 2.0. and 3.0 degrees.
He added, “The stations also recorded an earthquake west of Tartous with a distance of 43 km, with an intensity of 2.2 degrees on the Richter scale, in addition to an earthquake west of Homs with a distance of 29 km.
