Baghdad – The leaders participating in the “Jeddah Summit” for security and development praised the electrical connection between Iraq and Saudi Arabia.

The leaders renewed their “full support for the sovereignty, security, stability, development and prosperity of Iraq, and for all of its efforts to combat terrorism.”

The leaders also welcomed the positive role played by Iraq to facilitate communication and build confidence among the countries of the region.

The statement also praised the electrical interconnection agreements between Iraq and the Gulf Cooperation Council, and between Saudi Arabia and each of Jordan and Egypt, and the electrical linkage between Iraq, Egypt and Jordan as well.
