Baghdad / NINA /- Director of al-Etimad Center for Security and Strategic Studies, Major General Imad Alou, confirmed that the Jeddah summit proved the importance of Iraq, its regional weight and its distinguished international position.
He told the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that Iraq’s distinguished presence at the Jeddah Summit will be reflected in Iraq and its sustainable development through the political, security and economic support it will receive.
Alou added that Iraq will receive full support for the crises it will face, whether it is on the level of climate change or terrorism, which will be the focus of the conference’s countries’ attention.
He explained that the international acclaim that Iraq received through its support for Lebanon, its influential role in converging views between Iran and Saudi Arabia, and its role in fighting terrorism is very important to enhance its regional role.
He said that Iraq has begun to assume its regional position and weight in the various issues of the region in the Gulf and the Middle East, and it will be the focus of attention for the world in economic development and communication between East and West due to its important strategic location.
