The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, received today, Monday, at the Baghdad Palace, the delegation of the Iraqi Bar Association, headed by Head of the Bar Association, Ahlam Al-Lami.
The President of the Republic stressed the importance of the lawyer taking his role in defending the rights of the Iraqi citizen and not succumbing to influences, in a way that contributes to applying the right and justice and implementing the law to be a criterion for the work of lawyers, pointing to the role of the Iraqi Bar Association in educating citizens and disseminating legal culture through the media and social communication.
For her part, Al-Lami expressed her thanks and appreciation to the President of the Republic and his directives to consolidate the rule of law and support lawyers, reviewing the most important problems and obstacles surrounding their work.
She affirmed the Association’s endeavor to amend its law, expressing its keenness to strengthen the relationship between the Association and the protector of the constitution.
