The Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Hussein Ibrahim Taha, met in his office with Dr. Afnan bint Abdullah Al-Shuaibi, Executive Director of the Organization for the Development of Women in the Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

The meeting discussed the organization’s efforts in the field of advancing and empowering women and preserving their rights in the Islamic world. It also discussed the ongoing arrangements for holding a conference on women in Islam, hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, during the period 6-8 November 2023 in the city of Jeddah.
