The Supreme National Emergency Committee for the Prisoner Movement announced that its response to the decisions of the Minister of National Security of the occupation, Itamar Ben Gvir, to reduce visits to Palestinian prisoners to once every two months, instead of once every month, will be announced within days.

The committee affirmed that it would prove “to everyone far and wide that there is no one among this people who will raise a white flag,” noting that “the decisions that were taken by the so-called Ben Gvir against the prisoners, their families, and their rights are merely playing with fire.”

Meanwhile, Israeli media reported the comments of the Israeli occupation army and Shin Bet on Ben Gvir’s decision.

The Israeli “Yedioth Ahronoth” website stated, “The Israeli army and Shin Bet said that this is a step that we were not consulted about.”

They added that their current position is that “before the October holiday, and in light of the existing security tensions, it will not be appropriate to make policy changes.”

According to the website, they noted that “the Palestinians threatened that this step would open a new confrontation, perhaps even outside the prisons
