Riyadh: The Theater and Performing Arts Commission has unveiled the second edition of its "Sitar" program, a strategic initiative aimed at bolstering the theater and performing arts sector within the Kingdom. The program is designed to augment technical and production capabilities, elevate the quality of theatrical productions, and increase their competitiveness on a broader scale.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the Sitar program places emphasis on fostering local production that aligns with international artistic standards. It seeks to empower theater groups and nurture emerging talent through hands-on experience. The initiative also encourages investment and partnerships to establish a sustainable theater ecosystem and aims to create quality job opportunities, thereby positioning the sector as a key economic contributor.
Registration for the program commenced yesterday and will remain open until October 4, accessible via the Sitar platform.
