Thunderstorms and Dust-Stirring Winds Forecasted Across Saudi Regions

Jeddah: Moderate to heavy thunderstorms are anticipated, potentially leading to the flow of torrents, and will be accompanied by hail showers and active winds that may reduce horizontal visibility in the regions of Jazan, Aseer, Al-Baha, and Makkah. Dust-stirring winds are expected to persist in the Eastern Region, Madinah, and Makkah, resulting in low visibility along the coastal road leading to Jazan.

According to Saudi Press Agency, winds over the Red Sea will be northwesterly to westerly at speeds ranging from 20-48 km/h, with potential to reach up to 55 km/h in the southern part. The Red Sea will experience waves between one to two meters, occasionally reaching up to two and a half meters in the southern region, making the sea moderate to rough in that area.

In the Arabian Gulf, winds are forecasted to be southeasterly to easterly at speeds of 08-28 km/h. Waves will range from half a meter to one meter, indicating calm sea conditions.
