Tourism Ministry Conducts Extensive Inspections in Summer Destinations

Riyadh: The Ministry of Tourism intensified its inspection efforts targeting tourism service providers across several summer destinations in cities and regions throughout the Kingdom. Over the past month, the ministry's inspection teams carried out some 2,750 field visits, which resulted in detecting around 170 violations. These visits aimed to ensure that tourism organizations are licensed by the Ministry of Tourism, thereby safeguarding the rights of tourists and visitors from within and outside the Kingdom, in conjunction with the Saudi Summer 2025 program.

According to Saudi Press Agency, in Aseer Region, more than 420 inspection and monitoring visits were conducted, uncovering over 25 violations. In Taif, the number of inspections exceeded 360, with around 25 violations recorded. Meanwhile, Jeddah saw over 1,680 visits, during which more than 110 violations were detected. In Al-Baha Region, more than 280 inspections were carried out, uncovering five violations.

The ministry stressed that all tourism service providers, including travel agencies, tourism consultancy offices, and event organizers, must comply with the tourism regulations and bylaws to protect the rights of tourists and visitors. It also urged the public to report any concerns regarding the services provided by tourism activities through the unified tourism call center at 930.
