Riyadh-- The 2023 Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) BMX Freestyle World Cup kicked off today at the Elite Sports Center Arena as part of the qualifying event for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. Being held for the first time in the Middle East, the event is part of the activities of the second edition of the Diriyah Season, from February 10 to 18.
The Organizing Committee of the 2023 UCI BMX Freestyle World Cup succeeded in designing and constructing the Elite Sports Center Arena in the historic Diriyah within 27 days and an average of 18 hours per day, with the participation of 25 technicians and specialized workers from France and Belgium who participated in the construction and design of the venue, as well as 20 technicians and specialized workers from Saudi Arabia.
The arena is 55m in length, 35m in width. It includes 150 seats in the VIP section, and 500 seats in the public section, while the associated events area can accommodate more than 10,000 visitors.
