New York, Secretary-General of the United Nations Antonio Guterres received here today the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Dr. Yousef Al-Othaimeen and the accompanying delegation.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed issues of common interest and the need to strengthen cooperation between UN and OIC to address all issues and challenges of concern to both sides, expressing their happiness at the level and scope of cooperation between the two organizations.

Guterres praised the important role being played by Dr. Al-Othaimeen in developing these relations, stressing his keenness to enhance and raise the level of cooperation and coordination between the two sides.
