New York, Apr 21, 2022, SPA — U.S. stocks were mixed.

The Dow Jones industrial average rose 249.59, or 0.7 percent, to 35,160.79.

The broader Standard & Poor’s 500 index was little changed, falling 2.76 to 4,459.45.

The technology-heavy Nasdaq composite index fell 166.59, or 1.2 percent, to 13,435.07.
