Oil prices rose in early Asian trading today, Friday, after falling 1 percent in the previous session, as the market evaluated supportive supply conditions ahead of the International Energy Agency’s monthly demand forecast.
By dawn today, Brent crude futures rose 17 cents, or 0.2 percent, to $86.26 a barrel.
West Texas Intermediate crude futures rose 20 cents, or 0.2 percent, to $82.36 a barrel.
Prices received support from expectations of a shortage of supply due to the expected decrease in production in Russia./ End
