Riyadh, Yemeni President Abdu Rabbo Mansur Hadi received here today the visiting Swedish Foreign Minister Ann Linde who was accompanied by the Swedish Ambassador to Yemen Niclas Trouvé, the Swedish Special Envoy for Yemen Peter Semneby and other senior officials.
At the outset of the meeting, President Hadi hailed the active role played by Sweden, in the framework of the European Union, and its backing up of the constitutional legitimacy, in Yemen, in addition to sponsoring peace talks, in Stockholm as well as appointing a special envoy for Yemen.
During the meeting, the president also briefed the attendants on the latest developments, in Yemen, the suffering of the public, due to the ongoing war waged by the Iran-backed Houthi militia and its fallouts.
For her part, the foreign minister expressed utmost appreciation of the efforts exerted by President Hadi to overcome the fallouts of the war and the crisis facing Yemen, calling for concordance and national dialogue, as she looks forward that peace may prevail, in collaboration with international community.
