Iraq appreciated the efforts of the United Arab Emirates to cooperate and provide facilities for the evacuation of Iraqi citizens stranded in Sudan.

A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the Iraqi ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, Mudhaffar Mustafa al-Jubouri, received (7) Iraqi citizens residing in Sudan, who were evacuated due to the current events there, in direct cooperation and coordination with the UAE.

According to the statement, the ambassador appreciated the brotherly role and the efforts of the UAE in cooperating and providing all facilities to evacuate the Iraqi citizens stranded in Sudan, and to secure their arrival to the UAE.

For their part, the Iraqi citizens expressed their thanks and appreciation to the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the speedy response to the process of evacuating them and their family members.
