United Nations Under-Secretary-General and Executive Secretary of the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), Rola Dashti, on Wednesday received Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon, Walid Abdullah Bukhari, with talks reportedly touching issues of mutual concern.
Ambassador Bukhari was accompanied by a delegation comprising Mona Al-Oteybi and Marwan Al Saleh.
Following the meeting, Ambassador Bukhari said that discussions focused on mutual cooperation and on supporting the mission of ESCWA across the Arab region, as per a statement by ESCWA.
The Saudi Ambassador expressed his gratitude for the good hospitality, hailing the strong ties between ESCWA and the Kingdom.
Bukhari had offered Dashti a medal that was issued on the occasion of the twenty-fifth anniversary of the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA).
