Grand Mufti of the Republic, Sheikh Abdul-Latif Derian, arrived Saturday in Saudi Arabia to perform the duties of Hajj, where he was received by the Consul General of Lebanon in Jeddah, Ali Karanou, and a Saudi Royal arrangements official.
"The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdul Aziz, is keen on the safety of pilgrims and on ensuring that the best services are provided by the Kingdom to its pilgrims," Derian said.
The Mufti praised the continuous efforts of the Saudi Kingdom to serve pilgrims from all over the world.
"We ask the Lord Almighty to preserve the land of the Two Holy Mosques and keep it away from all evil," he added.
