Dammam: Acting President of Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University Dr. Fahad bin Ahmed Al-Harbi today inaugurated the 2025 Solar, Wind, and Geothermal Energy Symposium and Exhibition. The event, organized by the university in its third edition, is held over two days under the theme: ‘Innovation and Localization in the Renewable Energy Sector: Challenges and Opportunities.’ It brings together several entities from the industrial and engineering sectors across the Kingdom and is taking place at the university campus in Dammam.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Dean of the College of Engineering Dr. Murad Al-Thobaiti noted that the event comes at a pivotal moment as efforts accelerate toward achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, where renewable energy and sustainability are considered fundamental pillars. He highlighted the critical role of building a qualified national workforce in the renewable energy sector.
