Jeddah: The 20th annual meeting of the Saudi Association of Neurological Surgery (SANS 2026) concluded in Jeddah yesterday. The event was held on April 4 and 5, with the participation of a distinguished group of specialists, experts, and speakers from inside the Kingdom and abroad. The scientific program included specialized sessions and high-quality lectures in the fields of neurosurgery, spine surgery, pediatric surgery, tumors, functional surgery and epilepsy, and cerebrovascular surgery, in addition to sessions on research, complications, and professional development.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the event witnessed a strong turnout with more than 1,200 registered participants, reflecting its growing scientific significance and standing among specialized medical events in the Kingdom, as well as its role in supporting scientific and professional exchange among specialists.
The association also announced the start of preparations for the upcoming conference, SANS 2027, to be held in Abha, inviting specialists, interested participants, and relevant entities to take part in the next edition, which is being prepared early to deliver a distinguished scientific event that aligns with the aspirations of the healthcare sector and supports the advancement of the specialty in the Kingdom.
