Riyadh: The Saudi Competitiveness and Business Center's (SCBC) Public Consultation Platform, Istitlaa, has launched an initiative inviting feedback on 49 projects focused on economic and development affairs. In collaboration with 19 government agencies, SCBC is calling on the general public, government agencies, and the private sector to provide their insights and feedback on these projects prior to their approval.

According to Saudi Press Agency, key projects available for public input include the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology's amendment to Article 13 of the Executive Regulations of the Telecommunications and Information Technology Law. This project seeks to clarify the conditions under which a no-objection certificate is required from the authority when there are significant changes to the senior management of a licensee or registrant. The public can submit their feedback on this project until August 18, 2026.

In addition, the Saudi Food and Drug Authority has introduced a project titled 'Requirements and Conditions for the Clearance of Re-imported Products Regulated.' This initiative aims to establish the necessary conditions for customs clearance of Saudi-origin products that are re-imported after exportation. Public consultation for this project is available until August 22, 2026.

The Saudi Health Council has also proposed a 'National Policy for Health Services for Individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder,' which aims to harmonize efforts among health entities to provide comprehensive healthcare and rehabilitation services for individuals with autism spectrum disorder. The deadline for public feedback on this project is August 22, 2026.

The Istitlaa platform's introduction of draft regulations and related projects underscores a commitment to enhanced transparency within the legislative process. It also promotes a culture of public participation by enabling citizens, government agencies, and the private sector to contribute their perspectives and feedback on proposed regulations impacting the business environment.
