Riyadh: The National Competitiveness Center's (NCC) Public Consultation Platform, Istitlaa, has put forward 57 projects related to economic and development affairs. In cooperation with 19 government bodies, the NCC invites the general public, government entities, and the private sector to express their views and feedback on projects prior to their approval.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the Insurance Authority has presented a key project on the Istitlaa platform titled 'Amendment to Article 84 of the Health Insurance Law's Executive Regulations.' This update aims to stabilize and grow the insurance sector, as well as ensure financial stability. Public feedback on this initiative will be accepted until August 18, 2025.
The General Entertainment Authority has introduced two projects on the Istitlaa platform. The first project is titled 'Amusement Park License Requirements in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,' and the second is 'Entertainment Center License Requirements in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.' These projects are intended to regulate and develop entertainment activities, enhance related elements and capabilities, oversee the sector, and ensure access to high-quality professional entertainment experiences. Public feedback on the two projects is open until August 21, 2025.
Additionally, the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing is seeking public feedback on a regulatory framework titled 'Initiative to Update the Classification Mechanism of Engineering Consulting Offices and Companies.' This project aims to update the violation classification table and define penalties for breaches of the Contractors Classification Law and its Executive Regulations. Public consultation will remain open until August 22, 2025.
The Ministry of Interior Civil Status Agency is also seeking public feedback on a regulatory framework titled 'Amendment of Article 52 of the Civil Status Law.' The project aims to update the regulations governing the reporting of death cases in a way that enhances the inclusiveness of the system. Public consultation on this project will remain open until September 2, 2025.
The introduction of draft regulations, by-laws, and similar projects through the Istitlaa platform serves as an affirmation of enhanced transparency in the legislative environment. Istitlaa fosters a culture of public participation by enabling citizens, government agencies, and the private sector to contribute their insights and feedback on proposed regulations related to the business environment.
