According to Saudi Press Agency, the earthquake's epicenter was in the Indian Ocean, 2069 kilometers southwest of Albany, Western Australia, at a depth of 10 kilometers.

The Joint Australian Tsunami Warning Centre reported that there is no tsunami threat to Australia or Antarctica.

No casualties or damage have been reported so far.
