Nearly 800 Sudanese Pilgrims Arrive in Makkah for Umrah or Hajj

Makkah: June 05, 2024 — The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance branch in Makkah warmly received 777 male and female Sudanese pilgrims as they arrived through the Jeddah Islamic Port.

The branch continues to receive Hajj pilgrims arriving through the port, ensuring their comfort with around-the-clock hospitality from the working committees.

Upon arrival, the pilgrims received educational and guidance booklets, along with barcodes for downloading to their smart phones. These resources contain information about essential apps that assist them in performing the Hajj rituals with ease.

During the month of Dhu Al-Qi’dah this year, the Makkah branch of the ministry provided various services in the mosques of the central region in the holy capital.

To ensure a seamless experience for the visitors, the branch assigned supervisors who worked around the clock, ensuring the readiness of all mosque services.

Additionally, 94 mosques were designated for Friday prayers during the Hajj season. The total nu
mber of mosques in the central region reached around 456.

The branch also conducted 280 supervisory tours of the mosques, recording 244 observations for further consideration.

The Makkah branch of the ministry aims to offer top-quality services and care for pilgrims, creating a comfortable environment that facilitates their Hajj journey.
