Global Water Organization to Bridge Water Challenges Through International Cooperation

Dushanbe, The head of the founding team for the Global Water Organization, Dr. Fahd Abu-Mouti, announced a focus on international collaboration to address global water issues. Recognizing the diverse water challenges faced by different regions and development stages, the Global Water Organization will prioritize context-specific solutions.

This announcement came during the third High-Level International Conference on the Implementation of the International Decade for Action, themed “Water for Sustainable Development 2018-2028,” held in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, from June 10-13.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s participation as a leader in water issues stems from the announcement by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to establish the Global Water Organization in Riyadh. The organization aims to achieve sustainable development and water security worldwide, targeting solutions for water scarcity affecting many countries.

Dr. Abu-Mouti emphasized the Global Water Organization’s commitment to enhancing water resource development and sustainability since its inception. He highlighted Saudi Arabia’s leading role in guiding the global water sector toward a promising future. The organization aims to secure effective solutions for maximum water and sanitation sustainability for all nations.
