U.S. Secretary of Energy Tours Aramco, Shaybah Field


Dhahran: U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright, accompanied by Minister of Energy Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, visited Saudi Aramco’s headquarters in Dhahran and the Shaybah oil field. This visit was part of Wright’s multi-day trip to Saudi Arabia.



According to Saudi Press Agency, the officials were welcomed at Aramco’s headquarters by President and CEO Amin Nasser along with senior executives. Wright explored the company’s research and innovation facilities, including the EXPEC Advanced Research Center, the Fourth Industrial Revolution Center, and the Accelerated Innovation Laboratory. During this tour, he was informed about Aramco’s innovation initiatives, technological capabilities, and its significant role in enhancing the security and efficiency of global energy supplies.



Prince Abdulaziz later escorted Wright to the Shaybah oil field located in the Empty Quarter. There, Wright received briefings on the production and administrative facilities. The visit also included a tour of the Shaybah Wildlife Sanctuary, highlighting Aramco’s commitment to environmental initiatives.
