Riyadh: The Ministry of Justice has made rapid progress toward a more efficient and fair judiciary through a set of distinctive initiatives that improve the quality of judicial work, shorten litigation time, and ensure significant impact by enhancing beneficiary satisfaction and procedural integrity, while preserving all judicial guarantees.
According to Saudi Press Agency, as part of efforts to enhance pre-litigation services, the ministry launched the Case Preparation Center, aimed at providing judicial support services. These services include conducting preliminary case studies, drafting judgment templates, and overseeing the processes of serving notices and judicial delegations.
The center operates under an institutional model designed to shorten litigation periods and improve the quality of judicial rulings, positively impacting litigants' experience. The center employs over 200 experts and specialists in the Sharia and legal fields. It is regarded as a key pillar of the institutional judiciary, effectively enhancing courts' operational efficiency and expediting the delivery of swift justice.
To ensure access to justice for non-Arabic speakers, the ministry launched the Unified Translation Center, serving all courts of various specializations by providing real-time remote interpretation via audio and video during litigation, reconciliation, and notarization sessions. The center's scope includes establishing its organizational structure, training personnel, and linking it electronically with courts and judicial facilities to provide professional interpretation that guarantees everyone's right to understand and participate effectively in judicial proceedings.
The center serves non-Arabic speakers through 114 interpreters covering 47 foreign languages, in addition to sign language, utilizing modern technology via the electronic litigation service. As part of the Prisoner Services System, the ministry launched a humanitarian and judicial initiative enabling prisoners and detainees to easily and dignifiedly access judicial and legal services from inside prisons, including remote trials, notarization, and enforcement services.
These initiatives mark a qualitative leap in the development of justice in the Kingdom, focusing on digital solutions, procedural improvements, and enhancing judicial efficiency, making the Saudi judicial system more transparent, professional, and fair to all parties.
