Reef Saudi Supports Lemon Farmers at 2025 Lomi Hasawi Exhibition

Al-ahsa: The Sustainable Agricultural Rural Development Program, known as Reef Saudi, is participating as a gold sponsor in the 2025 Lomi Hasawi Exhibition, organized by the Al-Ahsa Chamber from August 21 to September 6 in Al-Ahsa. The event aims to support agricultural development and maximize the governorate's comparative advantage.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Reef Saudi spokesman Majed Al-Buraikan said the program's participation reflects its commitment to supporting small farmers and producer families in the fruit sector, particularly in enhancing lemon production and marketing opportunities. He noted that the program has provided more than SAR342,000 in support to the lemon sector in Eastern Region, benefiting 89 men and women farmers. The contribution has helped boost lemon production to over 122,400 tons.

Al-Buraikan highlighted the economic value of Lomi Hasawi, noting its marketing potential and role in processing industries. He added that Reef Saudi empowers small farmers by developing their tools and capabilities, thereby increasing incomes and economic returns.

The fruit sector is one of the key areas supported by Reef Saudi, which seeks to diversify local agricultural production, raise efficiency, and contribute to achieving self-sufficiency, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
