DCO Secretary-General, Palestinian Minister Discuss Digital Economy Cooperation

Riyadh: Secretary-General of the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO) Deemah AlYahya met with Palestinian Minister of Communications and Digital Economy Dr. Abdul Razeq Natshe and the accompanying delegation today at the DCO headquarters.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the meeting focused on enhancing cooperation between DCO and Palestine in the realm of digital economy development, supporting innovation, and promoting inclusive growth. AlYahya emphasized the organization's dedication to assisting Palestine in its digital transformation journey and acknowledged the ongoing national efforts towards economic openness.

She pointed out the significance of forming partnerships to expand market access, attract investments, and bridge digital divides. This includes initiatives such as Digital Foreign Direct Investment (DFDI). Natshe and his delegation appreciated the DCO's evidence-based and data-driven approach to advancing digital growth among its member states, alongside platforms that facilitate knowledge sharing and performance measurement.

Both parties underscored the necessity of developing a strong digital ecosystem that supports entrepreneurs, empowers youth, and fosters opportunities for cross-border integration. They also recognized the importance of exchanging best practices and expertise, which would further digital transformation and support digital development in the region.

They concluded by agreeing to maintain coordination and explore practical cooperation areas to strengthen the digital economy and regional cooperation.
