GCC Ministerial Committee for Cybersecurity Convenes in Kuwait

Kuwait city: The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Ministerial Committee for Cybersecurity held its fourth meeting in Kuwait, focusing on initiatives to bolster cybersecurity across member states.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the committee's agenda included discussions on harmonizing efforts and enhancing cooperation among GCC countries in the cybersecurity domain. Key outcomes of the meeting included the review and approval of the executive plan for the Gulf strategy for cybersecurity, set to span from 2024 to 2028. Additionally, the committee adopted an international cooperation framework to further unify cybersecurity measures across the region.

The meeting also marked the announcement of a new cybersecurity podcast aimed at the GCC countries, reflecting the committee's commitment to fostering greater awareness and knowledge sharing within the field.
