Riyadh: The Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property (SAIP) has launched a regional conference focusing on intellectual property enforcement practices, in collaboration with the Secretariat General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and strategic partners from international organizations. This event, which opened today in Riyadh and will run until September 10, aims to enhance cooperation and build technical capacities among GCC and Arab states.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the conference is being held in partnership with the Japan Patent Office and the United States Patent and Trademark Office, with participation from the World Intellectual Property Organization and various national and regional intellectual property associations. The agenda includes panel discussions and specialized workshops that delve into key themes such as the latest trends in inspection and investigation, combating intellectual property infringements in the digital environment, and improving judicial and customs cooperation between countries.
The conference is seen as a crucial platform for boosting business confidence in Saudi Arabia's investment climate. It highlights the importance of unifying visions and addressing common challenges in intellectual property enforcement across the GCC.
