Mogadishu: President of the Somali Red Crescent Society Yusuf Hassan praised the support provided by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) to finance a project supporting the water and environmental sanitation sector in displacement camps across five key regions in Somalia: Mogadishu, Baidoa, Kismayo, Galkayo, and Bosaso.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Hassan emphasized that this project, which includes the construction of 750 sanitation facilities, is being implemented steadily and represents a significant step in efforts to improve environmental sanitation. The initiative aims to curb the spread of diseases linked to inadequate water services, particularly in camps hosting thousands of families affected by conflict and drought.
Hassan expressed his gratitude to KSrelief for its continuous support of humanitarian projects in the Arab and Islamic world, and for its dedicated efforts in serving displaced people and meeting their humanitarian needs.
