Al-jouf: With the onset of moderate weather and lower temperatures today, public interest in the numerous parks and gardens of Al-Jouf Region has surged. The region’s cities, governorates, and centers boast more than 130 parks and gardens, welcoming all segments of society to enjoy hiking and the outdoors.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the Al-Jouf Municipality and its affiliates have meticulously prepared more than two million square meters of green spaces. These areas are equipped with comprehensive service facilities, including seating areas for families and individuals, restrooms, children’s playgrounds, and a variety of restaurants, caf©s, and food trucks. Select parks in Sakaka City also offer modern amenities such as Wi-Fi and phone charging stations.
The municipality is intensifying efforts to maintain and rehabilitate these spaces. During 2024 alone, it planted more than 1.8 million annual and seasonal trees and flowers in Sakaka City, as part of initiatives to improve the urban landscape and enhance the quality of life. These planting efforts included 48,526 trees, over 855,600 winter annual flowers, and 622,500 seasonal wildflowers.
Additionally, the municipality maintained 1,125 children’s playgrounds across public sites, significantly enhancing the recreational environment of the region.
