SASO to Hold 9th Standards Forum Focused on ‘A Shared Vision for a Better World’

Riyadh: The Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) will organize the ninth Standards Forum 2025 next Wednesday with the theme 'A Shared Vision for a Better World,' held under the patronage of Minister of Commerce and Chairman of SASO's Board of Directors Majid Al-Kassabi.

According to Saudi Press Agency, this year's forum focuses on the 17th Sustainable Development Goal (SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals), highlighting the importance of collaboration in improving the quality of industrial products and services. It aims to enhance industry participation in standards development, thereby supporting export and localization targets, integrating with global supply chains, and adopting international best practices in standards and quality.

SASO explained that the forum will address several key topics, including the development of specifications in partnership with industry. This will be achieved by enabling national factories to participate in formulating standards through effective strategic partnerships, improving technical compatibility by adopting local practices as national standards, and linking specifications with localization and industrial transformation programs.

The discussions will also highlight the role of standards in supporting major national initiatives such as 'Made in Saudi Arabia,' 'Content Localization,' and 'Supply Chains,' as well as in building the technical capabilities of national factories and enhancing their competitiveness.

SASO invited all interested parties and specialists wishing to attend the forum to register via the following link: https://www.saso.gov.sa/ar/mediacenter/events/Pages/saso-events-368.aspx.
