Riyadh: Saudi Arabia's youth handball team opened the Kingdom's participation in the 3rd Asian Youth Games (Bahrain 2025) with a commanding 71-7 win over the Maldives on Sunday in a Group A match at Umm Al Hassam Sports Hall in Manama. The team led 35-3 at halftime before adding 36 more goals in the second half.
According to Saudi Press Agency, with the victory and superior goal difference, Saudi Arabia tops Group A, which also includes Bahrain, Jordan, Hong Kong, and the Maldives.
Saudi Arabia will meet Jordan today in the second round of the handball competition.
