Riyadh: The semifinals of the 2025 WTA Finals were held yesterday at the King Saud University indoor arena, setting the stage for today’s final showdowns. The singles matches featured exciting encounters, with both finalists securing their spots after tough three-set battles. Kazakhstan’s Elena Rybakina secured her place in the final after defeating American Jessica Pegula. World number one Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus continued her impressive run, defeating American Amanda Anisimova by the same three-set score.



According to Saudi Press Agency, the doubles competition saw both matches decided in straight sets, confirming the finalists. The Brazilian-Hungarian duo of Luisa Stefani and Timea Babos advanced to the final after defeating Hsieh Su-wei of Taiwan and Jelena Ostapenko of Latvia. The Belgian-Russian pair of Elise Mertens and Veronika Kudermetova completed the lineup after their victory over Katerina Siniakova of the Czech Republic and Taylor Townsend of the United States.



The tournament concludes today with the highly anticipated finals. The singles final will feature a high-stakes match between Rybakina and Sabalenka, while the doubles final will pit Stefani and Babos against Mertens and Kudermetova.
