Heavy Rain and Flash Floods Expected in Parts of Saudi Arabia

Riyadh: Moderate to heavy rain is expected to fall in parts of Northern Borders, Al-Jouf, Tabuk, Hail, Madinah, Makkah, and parts of Al-Baha regions, potentially leading to flash floods. Hail and dust-stirring winds may also accompany the rain in these areas.

According to Saudi Press Agency, light to moderate rain is predicted for Aseer and Jazan regions, with fog potentially forming in these areas. Winds over the Red Sea will vary, being southwesterly to northwesterly in the northern and central parts and southeasterly to southwesterly in the southern part, at speeds of 15-50 km/h. Waves are expected to range from half a meter to over two meters, making the sea calm to choppy.

In the Arabian Gulf, winds will be northwesterly to northerly at speeds of 15-35 km/h. Waves in this area may range from half a meter to one and a half meters, leading to relatively calm sea conditions.
